Ironic I was just looking at some clips from the old Traditionaly animated Dreamworks stuff on youtube. Some amazing artwork in them.

P.S Nathan does any of your concept stuff appear in the Prince of Egypt art of book? I read it some time ago, and thought maybe I'd look through it again (and for some of Doug Kirks background work.)

I just saw this movie last month and I appreciate it so much. I truly think it's Dreamwork's best traditional animated film. I cried because it was so beautiful. I'm reminded of the color script when ever I think of it because of the warm richness it starts off with and the cold blue atmosphere it ends with. Looking at all the different color versions for this particular scene, i do feel that the warm light in the middle with blue pillars is the best one, which is the one chosen to take further into developing.

Still one of my favorite films on the new era! It's a film I don't get bored of watching. Great music too . . . yeah I know, they say that's a thing of the past. But I like it . . . the artwork is AMAZING! Love your work as well as Paul Laisaine's too.

Best,

MAC

this is nice stuff - I heard that visual development artists were all in competition with each other on The Price of Egypt. And the more gold that was put in, the better. any comment?
